"Curious," Alice murmured, looking down at the note her three brothers had written. She had known, of course, that they were going on a guy's hunting trip this weekend, but she still was plenty annoyed at the note. It was something only Emmett would laugh at, she thought. He'd probably had a good laugh about it, too, pretending as if she'd be worried. She even recognized his scrawl, rolling her eyes. She'd always found 'guy trips' completely ludicrous, but she didn't complain, it just annoyed her. It wasn't as if she was worried about Jasper, that would be foolish to the point of stupid, but any time spent without him seemed like time wasted. It had been like that from the beginning; the second she had seen him in her vision, she hadn't wasted any time in trying to find him. It was one thing that had bothered her about Edward and Bella in the very beginning. She had known that there was a very tense possibility that they were destined to be together, but then, Edward had decided to run off to Denali. The idea of that was just so unfathomable, sure, they couldn't see as much as she could, but she didn't understand how they hadn't seen that they were meant to be. Then there was the time when Edward had actually left. Alice didn't like thinking about that; she'd lost her two best friends because of that. She was ecstatic that things were back to normal, but some wounds never heal. Especially for a vampire.
Alice strolled over to the couch; curling up with her legs underneath her and tugging on her pendant. Television had lost all interest to her a while ago, it was much too predictable. It was much more captivating to simply go out and watch people, actual people and not just pictures on a screen. Of course, it wasn't nearly as fun when they stared back. She knew she was pretty - every vampire was - but she didn't relish that beauty like Rose did. It was one of the things she loved about Bella and her relationship with her brother; she'd gotten used to the beauty. Making friends with humans was so unbelievably difficult simply because they wouldn't stop staring when they first meet you, and even some time after. Alice gave an exasperated sigh at the thought, shaking her head slightly. It was so hugely irritating to her, especially when she went shopping in the city. She liked being in the spotlight, but was it not considered rude to gawk like Jesus had just appeared in front of you? Alice was convinced that - if she had been able to live out her human life - she would have had more class then that. "I need a dog." she mused, wondering what to do with her free time. She began to reach for her phone when her vision faded, blurring out. Any human might have believed they were fainting or getting a quick spell of vertigo, but not Alice. She knew what this was.
It was a simple vision, nothing to think about really, but the smile it caused was instantaneous. How had she forgotten that clumsy, best girl-friend of hers? And, that stupid, red truck she'd just seen pulling into the driveway. Bella was the closest she had to a girl she could relate to, which was weird seeing as their lives couldn't be any different. Atleast, for now. Alice was so sure Bella would get her way when it came to immortality, though that wolf - Jacob - was making things increasingly unpredictable. She shook her head, frowning to herself. He really needs to get a new hobby, rather then messing with my family, Alice thought. She had no personal vendetta against Jacob, not really going with natural-born enemies nonsense, but she loathed that she was unable to see him. Or anything he was involved in, for that matter. She knew that it didn't exactly change anything, Bella was so sure of her course. For now. Alice hummed lightly, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "Damn," She murmured, getting the answering machine. "Way to answer your phone, did you not see it ringing? As you know, the boys are gone. So, I figured, why not have a little girl time?" Alice laughed lightly, her voice like chimes. She knew that very well might be a deal breaker - if Bella didn't miss Edward, like she missed Jasper - but she really didn't understand Bella's aversion to "girl time". If she was eighteen, human, and hopefully female, she'd be clamboring for a shopping trip or a manicure. Hell, she was 109 and that would never get old. "Anyways, I know you're coming, but I'm not a clock. So hurry." And with that, she clicked end and tossed her phone on the couch.
Her precognition had made her incredibly impatient over the years; knowing the future simply made you want it to actually come. Alice had never been the type of person to twiddle her thumbs and wait. She preferred to simply do, which definitely caused some problems, she knew. She floated over to the record-player they kept, sliding on one of the old-vinyl, Elvis records. Just like her sense of style, taste in music also came in went. Today, she was definitely feeling the King. She wasn't simplistic - anyone who knew her could tell that - and her preference for anything, could change each day. Alice loved to dance; it was simply in her nature and she did do a little twirl to Elvis, but not much. There was simply no way to live up to him, though, she could definitely try. It simply wasn't as fun without a partner, perhaps she could rope Bella into it, she mused. It certainly would give her a laugh; not in a mean way obviously, but it would be hard not to. It had only taken a little while before Alice began to heard the racket of Bella's truck and she danced to the door. Bella was so beautiful - not just for a human, in any species - and Alice was so jealous of that. More so, that her beauty was manipulative. She could change it anyway she wanted and even grow in some ways out of her control, Alice didn't have that. It was one of the things that the asylum took away from her: She hadn't been able to watch her change. She'd simply always been this. Alice forced the thought from her mind, smiling over at Bella and said, "I've been expecting you," She walked over to her, graceful and on light feet, grinning. "Mm, what do you want to do?" She asked, not looking at her face but already looking at her outfit.
