His name is Jasper Whitlock Hale, most of the time he is called family Jazz, it's his nickname. He has the ability to manipulated and feel everyone’s emotions. He is madly in love with Alice, every since the first sight of her. She just makes him happy all the time. Actually all the family makes him happy. He loves them all to death and would risk his life for theirs.
Personality wise, Jasper could be mistaken for cold because of his highly militaristic mindset. However, his relationship with Alice displays his warmer side. The fact that he suffered depression after his years in Maria's service suggests a strong sense of conscience and grief over his perceived wrong-doings. When he was human he was described as being extremely charismatic, and therefore very likable. He has also been shown to be a strong and forceful leader through his rapid ascent through the ranks of the Confederate Army. The fact that he is always a soothing presence shows that he wishes others to feel well and at ease, and will do his best to make that occur. Jasper is highly intuitive but also never takes advantage of his miraculous gift, showing that he is not malicious and chooses not to manipulate others, most the time that is.
Jasper was a major in the Confederate Army in Texas until he was turned into a vampire one dark night by Maria. When he became a vampire, he gained the ability to feel and manipulate people's emotions. Jasper commanded Maria's newborn army that participated in the Southern Vampire wars. While in the army, he befriends a newborn named Peter, who Maria decided to keep. When Peter ran off with Charlotte, a newborn that they were supposed to kill, Jasper let them go. After a few years living as nomads in the Northern U.S, Peter and Charlotte came back and told Jasper about the way vampires could coexist in the North, and he left with them. A few years later he left their company, as he was still reeling from his years with Maria, which almost turned him into a savage.
Later, he met Alice in a diner in Philadelphia, and fell in love with her. With the help of Alice's 'sight', they searched for Carlisle and his family. She also told him about the ability to survive off of animal instead of human blood. He didn't know such a thing could exist but he followed her. When he became a member of the Cullen family he changed his last name to Hale. Jasper poses as her twin due to their physical similarities. Out of the whole coven, Jasper has the hardest time being around humans, due to his untrained upbringing as a young vampire in an army environment. He was not taught to control or how to regulate his blood lust.
When the Cullen's throw an 18th birthday party for Bella, Jasper nearly bites her. While opening a gift, she cuts her finger lightly and starts bleeding. Since Jasper is the newest vegetarian vampire in the family, he is overcome by his bloodlust and tries to attack Bella, only to be stopped by Edward, though Emmett puts Jasper in an unbreakable grip.
Jasper walked down the staircase of the Cullen's house. After a while of being in his room and thinking he had finally come back downstairs. He had been thinking of what he wanted to do while his lovely Alice was away hunting. He always hated being away from her. It made him lonely, the feeling he never liked. Though everyone has to be lonely at sometimes.[/size]
Jasper hoped for her to arrive home soon. He had spent so much time thinking about what to do that he wasted a good two hours. Hopefully that was long enough for Alice to hunt. If it wasn't then he was considering going to go find her. She probably was just gone for a while to tease Jasper. Alice did that sometimes, it drives Jasper insane. Just a few seconds away from her drives him crazy.
Jasper then heard the door open. Thank goodness she's home. He thought. Then he saw Emmett come in the room. Of course it was him instead of her. That just made him even more sad. Then the door opened and shut again, Jasper stood and went to the door because he was so anxious to find out who it was. "Alice." He said in a happy voice. Finally he could do something. He would do anything with Alice, from shopping all day to lying down with each other all day. He could do it with her. He picked he up in a hug and smiled.
